So this week has been
meetings on top of meetings. We've only been able to proselyte a grand
total of 4 hours. But that's ok because our priorities are a little bit
different now. We're still doing meaningful stuff for the zone it's just
a different kind of missionary work.
Some Highlights for the week:
~I
got a new companion Sister Jensen and she's awesome!! We get along
super well and we just always have the same thoughts and it's great. She
has a lot of passion for the work and I know that we're going to knock
it out of the park for my last transfer. Which we really need.. because
after Michael's baptism... we have 0 people to teach.. haha.. ha... so
yeah we kinda have to start from scratch.. but we have big goals and
know that amazing things are going to happen!
~We
went to the temple with Vince!! It was super cool because it was the
first time he got to use his priesthood. He brought his mom's, dad's and
grandpa's names and it was very special. He said he felt super good and
enjoyed himself. It was cool because Sister Jensen and I both taught
him! and Gigi and Maria my homegirls drove us to the temple and we just
jammed the whole time. I love those ladies it was so fun.
~Michael
got baptized!!! It was super special! And we had a really good
turnout.. despite the bishop's hesitation hahaha... We had like 50
people there. He was soooo excited. Which he expressed through dabbing.
So enjoy a dabbing picture below haha. But it was so cool because their
family is just one step closer to eternity. During the speakers, I
looked over at Michael and he was just beaming and I just thought about
what a good missionary he's going to be one day.
~We
did candy survey at the mall and it worked really well! We had some
solid conversations with lots of people! We found a couple really good
potential including some Jehovah's Witness girls. It was way cool! We
also found out it's illegal to do a survey at a mall without
permission... haha.. oops.. but no one caught us.. but we'll be doing it
at parks for now LOL.
I'm
excited but intimidated by this next week. I have never in my whole
mission had an empty area book. It's terrified me. But I feel like
Heavenly Father has been prepping my whole mission for this. He's
finally saying "Ok you've done it all, now you need to tackle your
biggest fear" So here we go. But honestly, I'm feeling really hopeful.
It's taken me a while to build my trust and relationship with God but I
truly believe He has my best interest in mind. He wants me to have a
satisfying, fulfilling mission. He wants his children to come back to
him one day. He wants people to let us in. And so we can work together. I
have full faith that God has one last miracle up his sleeve. So say
some extra prayers and pray for that golden person that God wants us to
find. Love you all!!!!
